Edison Amberola 30

Condition: Works well.

Edison C-250 Diamond Disc Machine - Mahogany
This Edison has a very nice, original Mahogany finish with a beautiful, flawless bed plate - retaining the pinstriping (early production). The C-250 was the flagship of Edison's Disc Phonograph line, and it sold very well. You won't find a better example of this iconic Edison machine.
This also comes with a 78rpm adapter, allowing you to play both vertical and lateral cut records.
(We also have this machine in Oak)
Condition: Works well.
$400
Victor Type MS (Monarch Special) with Wood Horn
This is the Monarch Special, created after the success of the very popular Model M. Features a very ornate case and a robust 3-spring motor. This machine has a wood horn (Solid, not a Spearpoint). Also, it has a lower 4-digit serial number, denoting an early model. Note the break switch is in the back, not in the front like later models. It currently has a gold exhibition reproducer, which we presume the previous owner installed for listening purposes and most likely a reproduction crank.
Condition: Beautiful, refinished, but nicely done. Working Well.
$1,500
Victor VTLA L-Door
The VTLA is Victor's earliest series of Victrola inside-horn phonographs. These lovely "L" Door cabinets were called VTLA (which was short for VicTroLA).
This very nice example includes all 10 of the original, old-style record boxes and the early ball casters. This cabinet is the "XVI" Style and is in good condition, with no missing lattice around the top trim and in good original Mahogany finish. It has the gold plated hardware and crank and a strong 3-spring motor.
Condition: Good working condition with original finish
$950
Victrola Orthophonic Credenza
This Credenza is a nice example of Victor's early Orthophonic machines. This is a good upgrade from the standard Victrola as it features the first large folded, exponential horn. It has good sound, gold plated hardware, an air-damped lid closing system, and a fully-automatic turntable shut off.
Condition: Beautiful, original finish. Works, but motor is slow. Just needs a lube and adjustment (we will attempt to do this first). Lid stays open, but air-closing not functional.
$350
Victrola XIV
This is the very popular XIV. One of the most common you will see on the market. What sets this machine apart is it's striking dark Fumed Oak cabinet.
Condition: Working well.
$350
Victrola VE-230
This beautiful Mahogany machine was one of Victor's most expensive "flat top" models. Although a large number of the standard VV models were sold, the VE version of the 230 was produced only in 1922 and early 1923; with about 900 made. This machine is desireable among collectors because of it's relative rarity and beautiful cabinet work. This was a particular favorite of our collector and he spoke of it often. It comes with 6 original albums and a Victrola No. 2 reproducer.
In addition, this machine has the lowest known serial number that we know of, at just 523.
Condition: The phonograph works fine and plays, but the motor could stand some lubrication.
$1,400
Victrola XVIII
This very handsome phonograph was the short-lived 'super-premium' phonograph model in Victor's 1915-1916 product lineup. The first to feature the bombe' style cabinet, with convex 'swell' doors and side panels. It also features a considerable amount of hand-carved trim on the corner posts, ornate beading on the doors, Victor's best 3-spring motor, premium red or brown stained diaganol veneer and gold-plated hardware. This machine is Mahogany and has a complete set of albums.
Condition: Works well. Most likely refinished, but done well.
$2,400
Victrola VV 7-11
This machine is stunning to look at! It's the perfect home entertainment center (according to Victor). This machine has all of it's original albums, which only adds to it's beautiful presence in the room.
Condition: Good condition, turntable works well, radio is untested as of now, we didn't have access to an outlet.
Victor 1930 Radiola Electrola RE-57
RCA-Victor continued to offer the old Microsynchronous receiver in some of their Radiola-Electrola models. These later TRF radios have screen-grid tubes and an improved amplifier but still feature the odd tuning system of levers and rollers. The manual phonograph featured a large counter-balanced tone arm with horseshoe magnet pick-up. These types of pick-ups could also be "driven" to actually move the needle and RCA took advantage of that by designing a system of home recording that used "pre-grooved" records. This Radiola has a Walnut finish.
Condition: This Radiola needs electrical refurbishment. It powers on, but the turntable barely turns and the audio has a slight hum.
$300
4 "Camera" Phones
There are a selection of camera-style phonographs in the collection. We haven't cataloged all of them, but feel free to inquire as to model, condition, etc.
3 Portable Phonographs & Victrola 50
A small selection of portable phonographs is also in the collection. Please inquire about model, condition, etc. We can test any item of interest.

Victrola VE-XVII
This machine was Victor's attempt at appealing to the wealthy buyer by having a fancier cabinet than previous models. The lovely mahogany cabinet with bombé sides house the electric motor. Condition: Works well and sounds great.

Edison B-375 Louis XV Diamond Disc Phonograph
The Edison Louis XV Diamond Disc phonograph is certainly one of the rarest and arguably the most beautiful of all Diamond Disc models. Production of all Louis XV variants might not have exceeded 200. This B-375, introduced in 1915 in Mahogany is marked serial number SM 55.
Condition: Running well. Most likely refinished, but a superior application.
$4,000 SOLD
Victrola Sheraton 500
A very rare machine. Sheraton models took their design cues from Thomas Sheraton, a famous 18th century British furniture designer. The "500" denotes the console style. The Sheraton used diagonal wood veneers and sold new for $1200.00. This phonograph has a serial number of 534.
Condition: Beautiful, original finish. Working Well.
